Yeah it's deceiving but it really is a type 1 hypervisor. In theory Hyper-V should be better performance but I sometimes prefer Workstation. At my old job I used it for labbing because we used vSphere while allowed me to easily transfer VMs. I was lazy and I wanted to train over Wi-Fi so this was an issue for me.
